Today is the date that doesn’t really matter because it doesn’t mark a special event nor is it the anniversary of anything but some how in the big picture it helps fill in a detail so important to Kobi’s life that I don’t think I’ll ever forget it! See today was Kobi’s original due date. Now I know that due dates are at best educated guesses and the baby ultimately comes when it’s ready be that a few weeks early or late give or take. But this is bigger than a few weeks early. We are talking months early!!
I think I will remember this day because it’s a testament to how great our God is! It’s a testament to the miracles He did on Kobi’s behalf and are still doing. It reminds me of just how far we’ve come and just how strong Kobi, William, and I are as a family and individually. It reminds me of the long road filled with prayers and praise, love and support that got Kobi home and kept us up when we were tired. This is the day I had dreamed about from the moment I found out what it represented and although it’s not at all what I expected it’s become so much more than that! Today’s date is a testimony of what the Lord can do, has done and will do in my family and especially in Kobi’s life!
Thank you to all those that have prayed us to this point… You know where Kobi is at home in my arms as I type this almost weighing eight pounds learning to nurse a little more everyday scooting around on her tummy and always talking to us… Yeah, this point!! Thanks again and may God continue to bless each one of you and grant you the desires of your hearts!
I ran across this song a while back and then heard it again recently (I don’t listen to the radio for music very much anymore) and I knew I wanted to share it on my blog as an encouragement to everyone who may be going through a similar situation and is praying for their marriage to be restored. God can do it, don’t give up, keep pressing in keep praying and believing!
Now, I am not claiming to know what it’s like to pray for my marriage to be restored from a difficult situation ( I’ve only been married 4 years) and we haven’t faced any such problems… but I do know what it’s like to wait on the Lord for answered prayers. To cry out to Him for strength. To fill so utterly empty and broken while you wait. In fact one of my most frequent prayers that I am still waiting to be answered is for children (4 years and waiting). It is a battle almost every day, but I go to God with my little faith (all I need is faith the size of a mustard seed right?) and I thank Him for my children that are to come and I recommit to waiting on His timing because I know that His timing truly is perfect…
So just be encouraged in God’s timing and believe that restoration will happen and in the mean time listen to this song! Love you guys and know that I am praying for you and your marriages.
Yesterday was our official first service as a church and although it was a long hard road to get to this point it, it was a success!
The team rallied together to unload all of the equipment and set up the space to look its best. It was such a hectic day I wanted to take tons of pictures to remember it but with all the work that needed to be done, I only got a few.
I guess the most important part was that we (me and my husband along with our Pastor and his family) got the chance to see everything come together. It was surreal yet so exciting at the same time to see everything that we worked towards for the last year come to pass.
It’s just gonna get better and better from here! We saw a lot of new faces and I am sure that God touched each person in a special way. God has a plan for the city of Miami and we’re honored to be apart of fulfilling it through Bridge Church!
To all those who were praying for us THANK YOU! We definitely couldn’t have made it this far without your prayers! Please continue to pray for the people of Miami, that there hearts would be opened to hearing the gospel and thereby transforming their lives and the lives of those around them.
