Y’all we made it! Kobi is officially one year old today!! I have so many emotions running through me but I haven’t had time to process them all because I was too busy getting everything together for her birthday celebration that we had tonight. But I’m sure things will come rushing in soon enough.
Kobi has grown so much over this pass year it amazes me every day! She is starting to walk a little bit with assistance, she loves eating real food (we had pancakes earlier today as a birthday tradition and she ate pasta and rolls, for dinner) She loves music, dancing to music or singing to the music. She knows how to clap, and she loves animals (we’re hoping to take her to the zoo tomorrow if the weather cooperates). She’s gone from a 2lbs. 11 oz. baby to a 24lbs. infant… she’s getting tall and she just wants to see everything and figure out how things work (we think she might be an engineer). She likes watching t.v and spending time with her daddy. Kobi loves to laugh and has such a big smile, Oh and she has two teeth now!! It’s so fun to hear her crunch on different foods.
Y’all my baby made it! Despite everything that happened to get her to this point we made it and I am so thankful and grateful to my God who kept her, and us! Thank you to each and every one of you who said a prayer, who brought food, who shared kind words, who rallied around us this past year. Thank you for your love and support and for cheering us on, you are loved and appreciated and I hope that each of you get to see Kobi one day in real life!
Here are a few pictures from her celebration!
I ran across this song a while back and then heard it again recently (I don’t listen to the radio for music very much anymore) and I knew I wanted to share it on my blog as an encouragement to everyone who may be going through a similar situation and is praying for their marriage to be restored. God can do it, don’t give up, keep pressing in keep praying and believing!
Now, I am not claiming to know what it’s like to pray for my marriage to be restored from a difficult situation ( I’ve only been married 4 years) and we haven’t faced any such problems… but I do know what it’s like to wait on the Lord for answered prayers. To cry out to Him for strength. To fill so utterly empty and broken while you wait. In fact one of my most frequent prayers that I am still waiting to be answered is for children (4 years and waiting). It is a battle almost every day, but I go to God with my little faith (all I need is faith the size of a mustard seed right?) and I thank Him for my children that are to come and I recommit to waiting on His timing because I know that His timing truly is perfect…
So just be encouraged in God’s timing and believe that restoration will happen and in the mean time listen to this song! Love you guys and know that I am praying for you and your marriages.
Today me and my hubby had one of those divine appointments. You know one of those God ordained chance meetings that change your life… yeah one of those and it all started with our van… we finally sold our van, mind you we had been trying to sale it for the last two years… and it never sold until today! That’s because God’s timing is perfect and he had a plan and a purpose. Today we sold our van to the most amazing Godly couple!! They are both musicians have been married for 24 years next month and are so full of love!! Their names you ask? Bob and Etta Britt!! He plays instruments and produces the music and she sings… you can check out her songs here.
We were definitely blessed to be in the presence of such great people. What started off as a business transaction ended with a return invite over coffee, cookies, fresh eggs and a CD! We stumbled upon a rare friendship that was God ordained and will be a joy to our lives for years and years to come!! All because we sold our van and remained flexible enough to not be in such a hurry to go on about our business!! I am so glad to have met them and am truly looking forward to what God has planned for us. Thank You Jesus for bringing us together and may we be a blessing to each other always, In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Music is what saved me! I heard music and realized it was coming from a church, started going to that said church and well the rest is history… I have always had a deep interest in music ever since I was young ( I even wanted to make the music you hear in movies)… I still love it! How it’s used to minister to people and touch people in ways that only words can’t! I love music with great lyrics that tell a story, music that can take you to another place entirely!! Today that’s what I’m thankful for, because without music in my life I don’t know where I would be.
Fun Jesus music is so hard to find but thanks to the local Christian radio station here in Miami I have stumbled upon the musical artist B.Reith!! He is signed with Toby Mac’s label Gotee and his music is everything that young people like to hear and it still talks about Jesus!!!
He is very talented, he can sing, and rap as well as write and produce. He is definitely using his talents to advance the Kingdom of God!! I stumbled across some of his music and wanted to share it with you!! Personally I really enjoy the stories he tells in his music!! They are so encouraging!! I hope you have as much fun as I did listening to it! I will definitely be on the look out for when he comes this way on tour!!!
