Head Shoulders Knees & Toes…

So those of you who are my Facebook friends or who follow me on Twitter may have noticed (or maybe not) that I started a new blog… Why on earth would I start another blog if I already talk about so many different things on this blog… well it’s simple… I had to. Yup that’s right, I had to start a blog for a school assignment… and although many of my classmates will probably give up on their blogs after this semester is over… I intend on keeping my blog going. So what is this new blog about you ask??? Simple, Natural Hair and Fashion!!!

Two things that I love and sometimes hate in one place… I don’t think it will ever get deeper than different shades of purple… not that this here blog always has something for you to chew on… but in my new blog which you can check out here. it mostly talks about my struggles with my hair; my journey to find a style that I can be happy with and it will mention things about fashion that I am loving and maybe even some beauty things as well. I really want to do a bunch of copy cat/looks for less posts but I think I’ll have to wait until the summer time to get those going… but we’ll see… Feel free to go take a look, leave a comment, or some advice, or just a kind word of encouragement…

The Surpassing Power

Have you ever been so starved for the word of God that when you finally get it the revelation and the renewal and ministry is so deep it makes you wanna cry? Well that’s where I’m at right now… I’ve needed more of God’s word than what I’ve allowed myself to have. So when I opened my Bible and just read the words on the page they jumped out at me and instantaneously began to heal my wounds and make things better. All of a sudden I could hear God’s voice talking to me for me! I’ve been asking God to speak to me for others so that they may believe but in the midst of it all, I forgot that He could speak to me for just me!! So when I read His word and let it hit me I was awakened and it was like a splash of cool water was thrown on my face and I just stopped to take it all in… Oh the pure joy and delight that comes from the word of God!! It really is incomparable. I love the Lord and He loves me. And no matter what happens I will be victorious because God has already won. Amen and Amen!! May His word minister to all your broken places…

My Week Recap: Spring Forward

my week has been overflowing with things… I had midterms, and dance practice, and a school event and a birthday party and a coffee break or two, good food, amazing moments with Jesus, and some awesome weather… not to mention we lost an hour of sleep due to day light savings time…

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Disappointment is never fun

Have you ever secretly wanted something so bad but no one knew it and then what you wanted was gone before you could even admit that you wanted it? I just told my brother the other day, “well a closed mouth doesn’t get fed!!” And now that’s all I can do is just sit here and kick myself for not stepping forward when the opportunity first arose. So now here I sit, disappointed and mad at myself on the verge of tears because my soul took a blow I wasn’t expecting. Even though disappointment is never fun, when you give it to God He makes all things new! With that unexpected blow motives were revealed, plans were released, freedoms were secured and waiting for the next answer began. God is sovereign, He knows everything and is in control of everything and sometimes you just need to sit back and trust Him through the disappointment knowing full well that He has a plan in it. Amen and Amen!
